Need for Speed is an upcoming 2014 American action film directed by Scott Waugh, written by George Gatins and John Gatins. Produced by DreamWorks Pictures, it is an adaptation of the popular series of video games by Electronic Arts. It stars Aaron Paul in the lead role and is scheduled for release through Touchstone Pictures on March 14, 2014. The film will be post-converted to 3D. After being released from prison for a crime that he didn't commit, a street racer, Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), is set to race cross-country and to avenge the death of his friend Pete.
