The sale of live birds has been banned for three weeks in Hong Kong to stave off a wider spread of a new strain of bird flu. The strain, known as H7N9, was found in a Guangdong supplier. Poultry sellers expected large sales for Friday’s Lunar New Year and are now upset over the ban.
