Honeybees Wearing RFID 'Backpacks' May Shed Light On Disappearing Bees

Scientists at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization are using tiny RFID "backpacks" to track 5,000 bees in Tasmania, Australia. They hope that plotting the bees' movements will tell us more about diseases, pesticides, and the Colony Collapse Disorder that affects honeybees in North America and Europe.
