With its latest rocket launch, India has joined an elite league of space-faring nations.

Russia, the US, China, Japan and France comprise the so-called "cryo-club" – countries that possess cryogenic engine technology, which uses super cooled liquid fuels to produce the huge amounts of thrust needed to lift heavy satellites into space.
