Sandra Boughton Jehan says there are many misconceptions and misunderstandings that surround foster care. For example, not having a spouse, wealth, or experience with children can lead people to believe that they are not eligible or qualified to become a foster parent or family, when in reality, none of these factors are held against foster parent candidates.
