Residents fear further violence after Volgograd bombings

A mangled bus is hauled away in Volgograd as officials pick up the pieces after the latest bombing in Russia.

Two days of bombings - one on a trolleybus and another at the city's main railway station - have killed 30 and injured more than 100.

Safety has become the residents' number one concern.

"I think that of the people standing here, no one would tell you that they feel safe. A lot has been promised, but little has been done. It's clear, everyone can see it."

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered law enforcement agencies to increase security.

At a central square, dozens of residents gathered to remember the victims.

As the gathering got underway, police began to arrest some of the people, including a man holding a flag with a hammer and sickle.

An organizer said law enforcement agencies have failed to protect the country from terrorism.
