We've been looking at the prophecy of Messiah. We see a 3-fold promise of Messiah throughout Scripture and in the gifts of the Magi - Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh.
Jesus, our Messiah, is the Suffering servant of Isaiah 53, signified by the gift of Myrrh. He is the Conquering King of Daniel 7, typified by the gift of Gold. Today we will find that Messiah is the Immanuel of Isaiah 7:14, symbolized by the gift of Frankincense.
