My husband left me in June and our consolidation loan was in my name. He has not sent me any child support and I am a school teacher in NC. We make very little money but just enough for me to pay for my expenses such as housing, food, childcare etc. I stopped paying on the debt when he left. Now I have a summons to respond to a complaint. I wish I could just file bankruptcy because I know there is MORE where this is coming from, but I don't have any resources to pay an attorney let alone this bill. So, what do I write in response?
