his claim is that stop and frisk is effective in reducing crime; it just needs to be tweaked so it doesn't target specific people. are. you. kidding. me??!! the role of stop and frisk HAS been to target people. and even if these 'certain people' were not targeted, the practise would STILL be unconstitutional- you know, the 4th amendment and all. lemon is MORE concerned with protecting the tourist and capitalist class than actually discussing the real issues effecting poor, black and brown people. his view is that if you take away stop and frisk people won't want to spend their money in NYC. he sued tower records in 2001 due to being targeted, and yet he thinks stop and frisk is effective.
