You can find almost anything at a Walmart store. Shoppers and employees at the Walmart facility located on Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka, Florida were stunned to see a 6-foot long alligator wandering right outside the doors of the shop.

The gator crawled back and forth past the automatic sliding glass doors and roamed around the parking lot. The creature even set off the door sensors causing them to open and terrified customers to run away.

Workers at the store were forced to lock the entrances, fearing the gator might wander inside. The incident occurred a little after midnight and police were quickly called to the scene.

Officers worked to keep customers away from the large reptile. They also contacted state fish and wildlife authorities.

The alligator seemed to know what was coming. Or it may have gotten bored scaring the life out of unsuspecting humans. Either way, it took off before wildlife officials arrived on scene, heading towards nearby woods.

According to a police spokesperson, the gator returned to its home, a lake, which is located right behind the Walmart.
