A man from the pacific island nation of kiribari is trying to convince New Zealand judges he is a refugee.
He left the low lying island six years ago for better prospects in New Zealand.
But the 37-year-old is not fleeing war or persecution, but climate change.
He says rising waters triggered by global warming means Kiribati is sinking.
