Scientists in Belgium were thrilled to announce that they’ve confirmed eating chocolate helps boost men’s bedroom performance.

The findings were a result of seven years of research and involved working with information gathered from nine countries and 500 scientists.

Their efforts culminated in confirming that the naturally occurring antioxidants in chocolate promote blood vessel elasticity. They also boost the body’s ability to increase blood flow to what they called “vital areas”.

In particular, as one scientist stated, “We have found eating ten grams of dark chocolate produces a significant positive effect and after flavanol intake there is an increase in blood flow to vessels that lasts six to eight hours, with performance peaking at two hours.”

Heart health also showed improvements after the same amount of dark chocolate consumption.

Chocolate isn’t without historical leanings in the direction of the discovery.

Casanova was said to drink a beverage made of chocolate four times each day.

The Aztecs were also documented consumers of cocoa, and some believe they did so to boost their sexual prowess.

Chocolatiers ACTICOA conducted the research and the validity of their claims linking flavanols and blood circulation has been approved by the EU Commission.
