According to Washington Humane Society’s CEO Lisa LaFontaine, the new wax figure is being unveiled as a tribute to the star’s love and devotion for animals. It's no coincidence that along with White’s wax presentation, the humane society will also have a mobile adoption center set up at the museum during the debut, so visitors will be able to take home a pet.

White is best known for her role on the show "The Golden Girls'' and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show''. However age has not slowed her down in the least.

In more recent times, the actress has hosted her very own American reality comedy series called Off Their Rockers and also starred in TV Land’s hit sitcom named Hot in Cleveland.

In response to her newest honorary accomplishment, White comically stated “I want to thank Madame Tussauds Hollywood for taking their sweet time in making my wax figure. Would it have killed them to do this 50 years ago before gravity took over?”
