Reportedly, Honda City is on sale in India since nineteen ninety eight (1998). But disappointingly, it is seen facing some crunches due to the lack of diesel engine.
Apparently, a report in Business Standard now confirmed that Japanese carmaker is soon going to ploy diesel engine in the City by twenty fourteen (2014). Honda Vice President confirmed, diesel engine in the City will be ‘one point five liter I-D TEC’ from that of Amaze. Hopefully, five speed manual gearbox are said to be assimilated with it in the initial stage. Meanwhile, automatic transmission will be deployed to it at a later part.
The twenty fourteen (2014) City is a cosmetic change. Additionally, it is being learnt, only technical changes are expected to carry over the vehicle by next year.
Tactfully, there are rumors in industry claiming Diesel City to deliver fuel economy of twenty to twenty two kilometers per liter. Well we say, this new marvelous piece of Japanese engineering will be a delight for those who wanted to enjoy luxury, but not wanted to be pinched so hard by the rising prices of petrol.
