In the US state of Tennessee, a crash involving a bus, a sport utility vehicle and a lorry has left at least eight people dead and other 14 injured.

Accident investigators said a burnt tyre may have been the cause of the collision on Interstate 40 in Jefferson County.

Six of the dead were on the bus which had been chartered by the Front Street Baptist Church in Statesville, North Carolina.
