Moody melodrama tinged with horrific elements tells the story of a well-intentioned doctor (Karloff) whose experiments drag him down into the company of body-snatching "businessmen" Black Ben (Francis De Wolfe) and the chilling Resurrection Joe (Christopher Lee).
