By default, you can upload videos that are 15 minutes long. To upload longer videos up to 12 HOURS, follow these steps:
1. Visit the upload page at http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_upload
2. Click Increase your limit at the bottom of the page, or visit https://www.youtube.com/verify
3. Follow the steps to verify your account with a mobile phone. NOTE: Currently YouTube are not able to offer other ways to verify your account.

*File size is limited to 2 GB for uploads from the YouTube web page, or 20 GB if up-to-date browser versions are used*

*Problems increasing limit*

If you can't find the link described above, it's possible that you may already be able to upload long videos. Check the "Unlimited Uploads" section in your Account Features page to check if the feature's already enabled.

You'll only be able to upload long videos if your account is in good standing based on YouTube Community Guidelines and there aren't any worldwide Content ID blocks on your content.("YouTube")

"First, you would click on Upload at the bottom here. It will say, Upload HD videos in various formats up to 15 minutes, but you want to hit the Increase Your Limit. Let me show you that again, Increase Your Limit here. You want to hit this.

So first, they want you to verify your YouTube account. To enable additional features, we require you that your account is currently under your control by providing us your mobile phone number. Please enter your mobile phone number and we'll send you a text message containing a verification code from Google.

I'm not actually going to enter a mobile number here because I don't want to show it on a camera, but what you would do is select whatever country you're in, enter your mobile number. Remember, no dashes or other symbols. And then you would click Submit.

After that, you would want to view the message on your phone, and then Google will send you a code. For me, when I did it, it's six, seven digits, and then you would enter it in Step Two, and then you would just click Verify. And then on the Upload page, it will say, congratulations, blah, blah, blah, and this video will be gone.

And to verify you have the feature, you can simply just go to Settings, click on the left bar here, click Features, and then see each feature, Monetization, Unlimited Uploads. So yeah, it fits. If you did the right process, it will give you a green dot here which means you're good to go. You're good to upload videos that are longer than 15 minutes.

And by the way, YouTube only allows you to upload videos longer than 15 minutes only if your community guidelines are in good standing, you have no copyright strikes, and no content ID claims. Everything here has to be in good standing. And you can also check if your copyrights are all in good standings, or else YouTube won't let you do that because they just don't want you to do that.

And just a word of caution. After you get this increased, I would recommend you not to post any copyrighted stuff. Make sure they're all your own original content. Thanks for watching. Bye bye."
