Chennai Express Sets New Benchmarks, Crosses 150 Crore

Blockbuster release, Chennai Express is certainly making a huge impact at the box office. Though the film hasn't gone down well with the critics, it seems like the audience is not getting done with this flick, anytime soon! Reportedly, this Rohit Shetty's mass blockbuster has conveniently achieved the milestone of the Rs 150 crore mark, within the first week of its release. Earlier, it was speculated that the release of 'Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara' on the 15th of August, may hamper the box-office collection of 'Chennai Express but thankfully, it did not affect the collections of Srk flick, at the ticket window. In fact we learned that, 'Chennai Express' registered a big jump in the business on this Independence Day. Meanwhile, having compiled the film's strata graphically, Chennai Express has bagged a whopping amount of Rs156.7cr in less than a week's time. Well with this, we definitely don't underestimate the power of a common man Shahrukh!
