Kadu (Belonging) In Central Africa children who return home from abduction by the rebel group known as the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) face stigma from the communities they return to and trauma from what they experienced.
Presenting Kadu: We Belong, a DTJ short film that tells the story of how children and their communities are overcoming the devastation of LRA violence in Northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo and beginning to Belong, again.
Kadu highlights a DTJ and Queens University, Belfast original intervention program for communities in crisis: a combination of film and psychology to reduce psychological distress and stigma for war-affected children and their communities in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
