Katrina Kaif & Shahrukh Khan In Happy New Year ?

While a few days ago it was reported that TV actress Ankita Lokhande may be roped in as the female lead of Farah Khan's upcoming film Happy New Year, buzz has it that Katrina Kaif has bagged the lead role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the movie.
Hrithik Roshan recently underwent a brain surgery and has been asked to take rest till November by his doctors and Katrina, who was supposed to be shooting for her upcoming film Bang Bang opposite Hrithik, is now free for the next three months. So, now that Kat has dates to offer, she's bagged the lead role in the much-anticipated film.
Mediavine has it that SRK too wanted an A-list heroine for the film. The film is going on floors in September this year and the makers wanted Kaif to give around 40 days for the movie and now that she is apparently free, she can easily do that.
Reportedly, Katrina will soon sign on the dotted line however, an official announcement is yet to be made.
