cross bronx expressway part 2: led zeppelin the wanton song

this is the conclusion of the cross bronx expressway movie and will also be the second chapter in a ghost town dilapidation series i am working on.
00:58 - we are on the alexander hamilton bridge crossing the hudson river into northern manhattan. the other bridge next to us is the washington bridge, which was first opened for vehicular traffic in 1889. the vehicles people were using in 1889 were horse-drawn carriages.
01:59 - entering the lower level of the george washington bridge (a different bridge than the washington bridge seen earlier).
02:11 - leaving new york city at the end of the cross bronx expressway, and crossing the hudson river. on the other side of the river is fort lee, new jersey.
02:26 - a glimpse of lower manhattan.
02:36 - welcome to new jersey.
03:25 - here is where we leave i95 and us route 1, and pick up i80 westbound.
04:00 - the first foothills of the appalachian mountains. the appalachains were once as big as the rockies are now, but the appalachains are much older, so they are much smaller but more rugged.
