At least 17 people were reportedly killed in violence across Egypt on Friday - in the wake of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi being overthrown by the army.
In Cairo, three hours of street fighting between hundreds of supporters and opponents rocked the capital during the evening. The army deployed troops in armoured vehicles.
