This is by no means a light offence for Insurance Companies and unfortunately the cost of dealing with them is passed on to honest policyholders. Fraud can be perpetrated to all types of insurance with cases ranging from self-mutilation to fake-death occurrences, with the torching of premises to finance renovation by the insurance compensation having become a legend.
