It started more than two years ago, but now the war in Syria has breached another grim milestone.
A report by the UN says the conflict has resulted in the deaths of nearly 93,000.
The vast majority, some 82 percent - were male, and about 6,500 were children.
And the fighting is showing no signs of letting up.
The latest pictures show the shelling in Qaboun in the outskirsts of Damascus.
