In addition to working on film and television, Shimon Haber is active as a film critic, journalist and columnist for various newspapers, magazines and websites. In the past 20 years he’s been professionally engaged in mass media and internet communication, exploring the possible influence social media has on people’s everyday life. He lives and works in New York.
In his early youth https://sites.google.com/site/shimonhaberinfo/ was devoted to journalism and for many years wrote articles for local magazine, exploring the latest trends in mass media and communications. After finishing high school, Shimon Haber studied film and television directing at the Teaneck Movie Academy. Shimon’s short films are presented in numerous international movie festivals and have won several international awards.
In 2004, he wrote the screenplay for the highly successful short film Happy trails Nadim, who, among other things, was nominated for a European Film Academy Award, won the “Heart of Young Director” award for best student film at the Tribera Film Festival in New York. Shimon is currently completing a new short film titled The Chinese are coming and from time to time publishes poetry collections. Even though at the beginning it was just an unfinished screenplay for a feature film, the eternal lack of work on the film area, within a month turned it into his literary debut.
