My life has been shaped by the entertainment industry in a way that I don’t think anyone else’s can be too. It is where my world is defined with every film, show, movie or cartoon I watch. Whether it’s good or bad, it keeps me company during those times when I need to get away from the everyday mundane, and I also find pleasure in watching all the dramas and comedies and series that come out of this industry. Many of these shows and films are well executed and have great characters. We often use them as escape routes on our journey (or not so much). And I do enjoy many of these shows and movies as well. But at the same time, there have been so many moments of sadness that have made me question whether all this was worth it.

The character development is what makes the most impactful series for me, and no other series has had such an effect on me than The Walking Dead. This show has been on my mind since season one when it was introduced. As you can guess from my description, if you haven’t seen The Walking Dead, then you aren’t thinking about Season One yet. It will change your perspective and change your mind set in ways that you never expected it to. There were times that I didn’t even know who was going to die next season, which was enough time to give into despair. However, as we saw through seasons one and two, Rick Grimes and his family slowly rebuild their lives together, they learn more about each other and the people around them, that helped give them strength when things got tough.
