Hailing from the streets of Greenville, South Carolina, PoetryMisses is an upcoming Hip Hop Artist/ Poet ready to make her voice heard. She's been writing poetry since the young age of 7 and has always had a strong connection with the arts. Also known by "MeshaLeigh", after her graduation from high school, she started to get more serious about her career as a writer. She's questioned countless careers and nothing has ever fit her how word play has.

Poetry has a beautiful daughter that was born in January of 2012. After the birth of her daughter, she somewhat lost her true vision in life. Being a travel lover, at the age of 20, Poetry and her daughter moved to Minneapolis, MN to start fresh with life. Dealing with the hardships of transitioning to a new state and balancing the challenges of family life, she began to look for new outlets. She is currently editing her recently written poetry compilation entitled "Drugs, Love, And Poetry". In April of 2013 Poetry finally began to embark on her rap career.

Transitioning over into songwriting was a bit challenging in the beginning but she has found her flow of southern sass and is ready for the competition. PoetryMisses stands for freedom, individuality, dreams, and most importantly happiness. In her first mixtape to be released entitled "A Walking Contradiction", she introduces us to MeshaLeigh and PoetryMisses, taking us on a journey through life as she knows so far.

Currently signed to Money Mafia Entertainment LLC, Poetry is bringing music that is inspirational with an edge. Don't let the voice or smile fool you. She uses her sincerity and her aggressiveness to inspire all the dream chasers. Inspired by such artist such as Mc Lyte, Eve, Eminem, and even young artist such as ScHoolboy Q and Dizzy Wright, Poetry produces a natural sound that sets her apart from the rest. She believes it is time for more female artist to be just as relevant as the men in the rap industry.
