announced his retirement on Feb. 1.
Pedroia, 37, played his
entire 17-season pro
career with Boston.
He was named American Rookie of the Year
in 2007 and AL MVP in 2008.
He was a four-time Gold Glove winner and helped the Red Sox win three World Series rings.
According to ESPN, Pedroia is the only MLB player in history to win Rookie of the Year, Gold Glove, MVP and a World Series title within his first two seasons.
He joins Mookie Betts and Carl Yastrzemski in hitting at least 100 home runs with 100 steals for the franchise.
