A video has surfaced on an ISIS forum of Amedy Coulibaly, the man who took more than a dozen people hostage and killed four in a Parisian kosher supermarket on Friday.

In the video Coulibaly pledges his allegiance to ISIS and claims responsibility for a car bomb that went off in front of a synagogue last Wednesday.

Coulibaly was well known by Paris police and had a criminal history that including five counts of theft and one drug count. He was also found guilty of plotting to free a convicted terrorist from prison. For the latter, Coulibaly served three years in prison.

When police raided Coulibaly’s booby-trapped home, they found Islamic extremist files on his computer and in his text messages. They also discovered an arsenal of over 300 automatic rifle cartridges.

In a statement, Coulibaly’s family denounced him and his radical beliefs saying his behavior was not supported by the Muslim community.

Coulibaly was shot and killed by police special forces in Friday’s attack. His wife Hayat Boumediene, who reportedly fled the country days before the incident, is still at large.
