In the midst of the French Revolution, in 1793, the French government comes up with the plan to let "Terror rule the day," (also known as the September 5th Decree) in an effort to squash the resistance. The idea—spearheaded by Maximilien Robespierre, head of the Committee of Public Safety—marks the bloody period in which waves of mass executions of those considered "enemies of the state" ensued.

In TK months, over TKTK are executed by guillotine and without trial. After almost 10 months with much bloodshed and little ground gained , the government decides to turn on Robespierre himself, putting him to guillotine with no trial.
