Footage shows air tanker dropping long stream of retardant to fight Camp Fire

The death toll of the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise, California, has risen to 48, media reported on November 13.

The number makes the fire the deadliest in state history by a wide margin, beating out the 1933 Griffith Park fire that killed 29.

More than 5,000 personnel across states have been working around the clock to fight the fire, which stood at 35% containment as of Tuesday evening. This video, filmed in Concow, shows an air tanker releasing a long stream of retardant onto the fire.

Fire officials say a total of 8,817 structures have been destroyed by the fire. At least 7,600 of them are single-family homes.
