Liquid screeds have so many benefits over sand and cement, but there is one slight drawback and that is that as they dry, they produce a layer of laitance on the surface. This needs to be removed before the final floor surface is installed. At UK Screeds we achieve this by sanding the floor surface approximately 7 – 10 days after the screed has been laid. This provides the perfect surface for the final flooring.
