Jibran Jawaid is an entrepreneur with his interests and active work in the field of social &
development sector, mainstream media, stock markets, real estate & agriculture.
He is a documentary film fellow at the George Washington University, United States of America.
In his quest to explore the ‘Human Condition’ Jibran has involved himself with a wide range of
projects to explore various social issues pertaining to the social sector. His documentaries have
featured at the ‘Pursukoon Karachi’ ‘Business Plus’, ‘Indus Network’, ‘Geo Television Network’
& ‘Current TV’.
Having been involved with mainstream news and television channels for a period of 12 years
Jibran entered a business venture ‘Tangerine Media’ in 2010. As the CEO of the company he
has taken up challenging projects and introduced some new concepts in developing training
videos for the corporate sector. While he has involved himself with sponsoring and forming
events like the Gandhara Film Festival 2012 where he conceptualized the festival and executed
it to promote media trainings and the culture of filmmaking in Pakistan. Other notable events
include Unique Pakistan (A Pakistan wide photography competition) and a Social Media
Conference.
As an investor Jibran developed a keen interest in the Karachi 100 Index and real estate at a
very young age while studying chartered accountancy. Investing in Pakistan and in the UAE.
Further exploring agriculture and researching crop sciences to maximize yield and bypass
seasonal barriers.
Jibran is interested in social development particularly in imparting skills that he has acquired
over the years and sharing that knowledge to enable individuals who are interested and looking
for opportunities to break out and take keen interest in bringing about social and economic
change in their surroundings.
