Founder’s History Robert V. Willison has been involved in all aspects of the capital markets and structured finance for the last 25 years. He has spent much of that time structuring debt as well as equity for both public and private companies. His experience ranges from completing early stage venture capital financing for growth companies to sourcing, negotiating and funding senior secured debt financing for corporate turn-arounds of distressed companies. He has acted in an advisory role, as a principal, as well as a senior executive officer.
The latter included serving as Chief Executive Officer of a major telecommunications company that he was instrumental in ultimately selling to Telenor, the seventh largest telecom carrier in the world. Telenor is valued at over $5 billion dollars with 143 million subscribers. He stayed on as the CEO after the completion of the sale and ran the $500 million dollar United States division for the next 4.5 years. Willison arranged the acquisition & financing of lnternet Billing Company (IBill in 2004).
The company had previously sold to a NASDQ listed company for $122 million. IBill was one of the major credit card processors of online transactions in the United States. IBill focused on processing transactions for memberships and online transactions which consisted predominately of specialty themed content. IBill enjoyed large margins on its revenue base.
