00:00Today on the newscast, Israel on high alert after Iran's drone strike and vow of revenge.

00:09Hey folks, welcome to the newscast.
00:11We told you about this yesterday here on the Watchman newscast.
00:14Now Israeli officials have not said anything yet publicly about the attack
00:17other than to say they are aware of the reports.
00:19But apparently according to the Iranian regime,
00:21these drones entered Iranian airspace,
00:23struck the Natanz facility which is a nuclear facility and then left Iran.
00:27And before we dig into that and more,

00:55The U.S. is weighed in, urging restraints, obviously as well as Russia.
00:59And we'll see how this all plays out.
01:01But clearly, the specter of war looms large in the region.

01:06Pray for Israel during these turbulent times.
01:08Things are happening and unfolding at such a rapid pace in the Middle East.
01:11It is a day that never seems to end.
01:13And tomorrow is another day.
01:14As the old Rem song goes,
01:16another day closer to the great northern showdown that is coming.
01:19And we know that things could flare up at any given moment.

01:39The Iranian regime is enriching uranium at an ever faster clip,
01:43driving toward that 90% mark.
01:45They're claiming now that they've enriched uranium up to 84%.
01:48If they reach that 90%,
01:49they can then have the capability of building a bomb.
01:53So I do want to think it as a coincidence that this drone strike on this nuclear facility
01:56happened the same day that Iran announced that they were driving even closer to that 90% mark.
02:02So could this be a clue as to what's in the works?
02:04Perhaps, perhaps Iran felt that this drone strike on the Natan site,
02:08and it was minor damage, folks, according to Iranian officials.
02:11And we have no word from Israel, as I mentioned a minute ago.
02:15But perhaps Iran felt compelled to do something here
02:17because they are feeling pressure from the West.
02:19And they do undo on Israel striking them again.
02:21And maybe they feel like they have to make a statement of saying,
02:24Hey, we are still a threat.
02:26We are still a danger.
02:27And we will strike back if need be.
02:29Or maybe this is a diversionary tactic.
02:31Again, we don't know.
02:33All we know is that Israel is on high alert and we're watching it closely.
02:36Thankfully, God Almighty has a different plan for the nation of Israel.
02:39And as we see these events transpire,
02:42and we've been talking about this for nearly a decade now here on the Watchman newscast,
02:46the chess pieces on the board moving,
02:47the pieces of the puzzle falling into place.
02:50We see the prophetic chess pieces, if you will, moving on the board.
02:53And we know that sooner or later, sooner rather than later,
02:56it seems the Great Northern War will come to pass.
02:58And we've seen that many times over the past few years,
03:01or God forbid, an attack on Israeli soil,
03:03the soil of the nation of Israel.
03:04Whether it comes in the form of a terror attack,
03:07an Iranian terror attack on the streets of Jerusalem or Tel Aviv,
03:10or whether it comes from the north, as I mentioned,
03:13transpiring through Syria, Lebanon,
03:15southern Lebanon, the home base of Hezbollah,
03:17each time the door opens a crack, as it were,
03:20to war between Israel and Iran.
03:22It swings open wider and wider.
03:24And I believe the trajectory is moving in that direction.
03:26And women on the wall standing shoulder to shoulder.
03:29So join us here every day.
03:30We would love to have you.
03:31That's according to Iranian officials who also said that once again.
03:34This was a Zionist regime, their term for Israel.
03:37They said that Israel was behind this attack.
03:39As I mentioned, no claim of responsibility by Israel.
03:42But still, Israel upping its game in terms of air defenses
03:45and being prepared for any incoming missiles or rockets or whatever.
03:49Iran and its proxies may throw Israel this way.
03:51Now look, we've had so many attacks emanating from Syria
03:53over the past several years, many of them.
03:56Many times, the finger has been pointed at Iran
03:58or Iranian proxies in Syria where Russia also has a major military presence.
04:02So Israel has had to operate with a great deal of caution
04:05whenever they strike in Syria for fear of hitting Russian forces
04:08and really up until recently.
04:10They've done a pretty good job of avoiding that.
04:12But a few weeks ago, we had an incident where an Israeli strike in Syria
04:15in Tartus, if I'm pronouncing that right,
04:17near Tartus, where Russian soldiers were reportedly killed.
04:20So things are getting a little bit more tense in that arena.
04:23Let's go to some more details here.
04:24But if they wanted to,
04:25they absolutely have the capability to target Israel and Syria.
04:28We know that Iran has thousands of troops in Syria.
04:31They surround Israel on all sides, along the Golan Heights in particular.
04:34So again, no surprise here.
04:36If something did come Israel's way,
04:38but Iran also has a naval presence in the Mediterranean.
04:41And we've talked about this, folks, for several months now.
04:44That Iranian vessels, Iranian warships transit the Strait of Hormuz,
04:48heading to the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea and beyond,
04:51all the while, all eyes on Israel.
04:53So a lot of people believe that these warships,
04:56which, by the way, have missile-carrying capabilities,
04:59are a prelude to a future naval showdown with Israel.
05:02That may be part of the larger war that we've called the Great Northern,
05:06war that we've talked about so much here on the newscast,
05:09which will pit Israel against the likes of Hezbollah,
05:11the Houthis in Yemen, Hamas,
05:13and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza to the south.
05:15And then to the north, no doubt,
05:17the Assad regime in Syria,
05:19the Iranian regime,
05:20and those various militias that surround Israel in that country.
05:23Now, major news outlets like Reuters are reporting on it as well.
05:26It looks like Israel was expecting something coming out of this.
05:29Because there were increased air defenses,
05:32there was talk of an increased state of alert within Israel,
05:34particularly around the home front.
05:36And that's due to the fact that Iranian proxies,
05:38Iranian-backed groups in Lebanon and Syria,
05:40no doubt at the behest of the Iranian regime,
05:43may very well target Israeli assets in both of those countries.
05:46Again, we saw this back in 2080,
05:48when Israel was forced to shoot down an Iranian drone
05:51that was headed toward a major Israeli nuclear reactor in the north of the country,
05:55near the Lebanon border,
05:56and that drone was carrying explosives.
05:58So, a repeat of that perhaps.
06:00But what would Iran's strategy be?
06:02Will they send missiles flying?
06:04Will they send more drones?
06:05Maybe a hit team into Syria to target an Israeli?
06:08What exactly will Iran do?
06:09We told you that Israel was on high alert last night,
06:12Tuesday, January 2023,
06:14after an apparent drone strike targeted a nuclear facility in central Iran.
06:17And now today, Iranian officials are vowing revenge
06:20and promising that Iran will retaliate against Israel for this attack.
06:23They did not take responsibility for the attack,
06:25but they certainly sounded like they did.
06:27Here's more from Reuters.
06:28Tensions between Iran and Israel escalated sharply today
06:32after Iran said it thwarted an Israeli.
06:34Sabotage attempt on a nuclear site
06:35and activated emergency measures across the country
06:38after the suspected drone strike,
06:39which caused minor damage.
06:41And of course, we've got to talk about the potential fallout.
06:43Folks, we're keeping a very close eye on this.
06:45Now, let's break down some more of this Israeli high alert
06:48after this drone strike in Iran.
06:49And if Iran does want to really respond in a meaningful way,
06:52and we shall see how this plays out,
06:54what a showdown it will be.
06:55The question is not if this will happen, but when.
06:58Again, Iran is hell-bent on destroying Israel.
07:01But in the meantime, Israel is on high alert.
