00:00so the Phoenix Suns have moved on from Kevin Durant it seems like there is a bit of this

00:15had to happen um when you see Kevin Durant's comments with Kay Adams and he's saying well

00:20uh Suns fans got what they wanted and I got what I wanted this seemed like something that

00:25probably needed to happen hey um but it does it's it's a bad move for Phoenix I think it's a home

00:32run for the Rockets so guess how I think about it on the the Phoenix side it looks like a panic move

00:38it feels like a panic move and if nothing else it's a bad move for them um they at first they

00:44thought they needed to trade for him and they gave up a whole lot of stuff to bring him in as kind of

00:50the final piece to this thing it doesn't work and so then you trade him off for 10 cents on the dollar

00:56cool great they the thought that they needed to trade him so they could get something in this

01:02draft it just it feels a little aggressive to me and obviously like there are big pieces here

01:08at different points in this draft but I I don't think that's a 10 I I don't and I don't think

01:14they have anything that they can package with 10 to get up any higher to try to get something out of

01:19that so I I just I don't see I don't see why this had to happen now and if you push it a little bit

01:27why like are the Rockets gonna say no at some point no like this is this is the type of trade

01:34that you make if you like absolutely have to at the last moment because there's someone at 10 that

01:38you just cannot pass up and maybe they see something I don't at 10 but boy oh boy like this

01:43just this this feels really really bad on the Phoenix side of things um they just they didn't

01:49get nearly enough Jalen Green um at his full potential was the exact player that the Rockets

01:54needed and he did not step up how they needed him to that is not to say that he's not going to be able

01:59to but the Phoenix situation doesn't feel like the one where he's gonna come and suddenly thrive

02:05when you have someone else who kind of needs the ball a bunch in Booker Green kind of needs a spot

02:10where he can go learn how to be the guy and develop into those traits and this is not that area so like

02:17I I just I think even the best case scenario of these two guys together is just a I work better

02:23than we thought but still not great or 10th you know like I just I don't see I don't see where the

02:30like oh my god they nailed it is coming from on this particular move Brooks is a solid player um if

02:36they want to do a complete teardown maybe you flip him off now for something else to a a playoff team

02:41or the one thought I had if they're just playing like 40 chess out in Phoenix because yeah maybe we

02:48didn't get a great return here but we really do want to build around Booker but we got the

02:51fucking Beal thing that we just can't get away from um all right so here's what we're gonna do

02:57it's not gonna be a great return for Katie we're gonna get a couple young pieces but we're also

03:01gonna get Dylan Brooks and we are going to stick his Canadian ass on Bradley Beal in every practice

03:08in every scrimmage in everything they do Beal wants to throw something out in the garbage Brooks is

03:13gonna be there to just make his life miserable to the point where Beal wants nothing more than to be

03:19out of the four walls of our basketball facility and wave his no trade so he can move somewhere else

03:25that's that is the only way this makes sense to me is if they brought in Brooks to anger Bradley

03:31Beal to the point of him not wanting to exist as a Phoenix Sun anymore and thus demanding a trade

03:36waving that um very difficult to deal with no trade clause for the Phoenix Suns now you still have to deal

03:42with the fact that the contract sucks but it's something I guess uh and the 10th pick like it looks

03:47good on a social media post the hope that it turns into a difference maker is going to be a little bit

03:54out there I just I it's not close to what they gave up for him and it never was going to be close

04:00for you don't trade for a guy with the hope that you can this isn't real estate and you can hope that

04:06in four years the value is going to go up and we can flip him for something else that's not how this

04:10is going to work but to get so drained of your resources in trading for him have zero success while

04:19you have him and flip him for this while not getting your 27 pick back it is just failure after

04:26failure after failure after failure and these are the types of moves that set teams back for really

04:31really long times in the NBA it just it this whole situation is going to be I think the new thing we talk

04:40about instead of Brooklyn trading away the picks that would have been Tatum and Brown for KG and Paul

04:47Pierce like that's that's basically what this feels like to me on the Phoenix side of things
