02:43But really, the whole wide world is our playground to play in and explore
02:48That's right, Greg
02:49You know, there's so many places we could go and play
02:53Yeah, so where would you like to play today?
02:58Oh, that's a good idea
03:00Uh-huh
03:00Oh, I like that one too
03:03There's so many great ideas
03:04Which idea did you like best, Butterscotch?
03:07Well, I heard somebody say they'd like to go to a fire station today
03:10Ooh, that could be quite fun
03:13Maybe they'll let us slide down the fire pole
03:16And run the sirens
03:18It's a fire station, not a playhouse Frankie
03:21It's a very important place
03:24But I think it will still be lots of fun
03:28Yes, I agree
03:30And I think you might learn something too
03:31You know, firefighters are really brave to do the job that they do
03:37They must be great at it too
03:39Hmm, I wonder what firefighters do when they don't have a fire to fight
03:44I'm sure that's something we could find out today
03:47You know what? Maybe I can help too
03:49Come on, everyone
03:53Here we are, everyone
03:55Today's sign reads go
03:56G-O
03:57Go
03:58Well, what do you mean by go, Greg?
04:00Oh, well, seeing that we're talking about the fire station today, Frankie
04:03I mean like get down low and go, go, go if you see smoke
04:08Oh, say Greg, did you know that vamos means let's go in Spanish?
04:13No, I didn't Charles, that's great to know
04:16Vamos
04:17Hmm, can you say it with us?
04:20Vamos
04:21Great job, everyone
04:23Greg, I really like the way you had that sign all set up to G-O-Go
04:29Speaking of set to go, we should probably go to the fire station
04:33Oh yeah, that sounds great
04:35Vamos, let's go
04:37Woohoo
04:39See you later
04:40Have fun, guys

05:02At the fire station
05:27Hmm, wonder what else we can do
05:29Oh, I think I know
05:31Come on

05:52At the fire station
05:54At the fire station
05:57At the fire station
06:00At the fire station
06:22Life House. Today we're going to learn about fire safety, what to do in case of a fire,
06:27how to go about getting out of a fire, and what to never, ever, ever do during a fire.
06:33One of the most important things that you can have in your house is a working smoke detector.
06:39Today when you go home, look high up on the walls and high up on the ceiling. See how many
06:45smoke
06:45detectors you have. After you see how many you have, tell your parents, push that button. I want
06:51to hear that sound to make sure that it's working. That's the sound of a working smoke detector.
06:58You should have an escape plan at your house. Practice, practice, practice. Today when you
07:04go home, tell your parents, let's make an escape plan so I'll know what to do in case there's ever
07:09a fire in my house. Never try to save anything when the house is on fire. Don't try to save
07:15your
07:16toys, your pets, your money, your Christmas presents. But can't I save my favorite toy?
07:22No, don't try to save any toys. I need you to get out and stay out. We can get everything
07:28new,
07:28but we can't replace you, you, you, or you. When you fill the door, if it's hot, don't open it.
07:36We have to get out another way. Another way, we can get out of a window. If you're in the
07:41basement
07:42or the first floor, you can climb out of that window. But if you're on the second floor,
07:47third floor, higher floor, you can't climb out the window and you never jump. What you do is get
07:52something bright color. You can get a white towel, a yellow dress, a pink pillowcase, wave out the
07:59window. Help, Sammy, I'm up here and I can't get out. Help, help, help. Oh, so like I could use
08:05my
08:05yellow dress and wave it out the window. Yes, it's bright enough to see at nighttime. Yes. Oh,
08:12that's so cool. Wow. If there's a fire in your home, don't use that telephone. Go next door to
08:18your friend's house. You can use their telephone and call 9-1-1. You only call 9-1-1 when
08:25there's an
08:25emergency. Never ever play with 9-1-1 because if you trick us over to your house that there's an
08:31emergency and it's not, somebody else might really need us. But we can't go there because you was
08:37playing on the phone. So never ever play with 9-1-1. If your clothes ever catch on fire, never
08:44ever run.
08:45You have to stop, drop, and roll. When you stop, drop, and roll, you have to put your hands on
08:52your
08:52eyes like this because sometimes the fire will try to burn your eyes. So protect them with your hands
08:57when you stop, drop, and roll. Okay, boys and girls, now today when you go home, tell your parents,
09:05let's practice a fire drill. I want to know what to do in case there's a fire and where is
09:11the family
09:11meeting place. Oh, wow. Oh, that'll be so much fun. But I have another little surprise. Do we get to
09:18see
09:19our real fire truck? Yes, you do. We're going to go right out in the yard and there's a big
09:25red fire
09:25truck waiting for you. Oh, oh, can we drive the fire truck? No, you have to be a grown-up
09:32and you
09:32have to be trained to drive a fire truck, but you can go out and look at it. Come on,
09:40let's go.
09:50This is a fire truck that firefighter Jeff will bring to you all's house if there was a fire.
09:56It's a ladder so he can get up to the really tall windows. Wow, that's so cool. And it's a
10:03hole so
10:04he can squirt water in the fire. Can we drive the truck? No, you can't drive the truck. I told
10:09you you
10:10have to be a grown-up, but if you like, you can get inside. Let's go. Come on, boys and
10:23girls. Let's go into the survival life house and practice what we've learned. Yeah, let's
10:28go. Yay! I'm going to get down low and go, go, go. Oh, there's a man in a mask. Oh,
10:42oh, honey,
10:43it's okay. That's firefighter Jeff. He's here to help us. Now, if this were really a fire,
10:47we'd go to him. Come on, let's go. Chip-chop. Okay. Okay, I'm going. Oh, hello, everyone. Just a moment,
11:11Gregory. I will be right down. Take a seat, please. I won't be a moment.
11:20Well, hello, Olivia. Hello, Gregory. So lovely to see you on this fine day.
11:29Yes, and you too. Oh, Gregory, my dear boy, whatever are you doing there? Oh, I'm sorry,
11:38Olivia. I'm just taking little sips of my tea to see if it's too hot to drink. Oh, a wise
11:44idea,
11:45my boy. A wise idea indeed. I'm surprised I didn't think of that myself. Oh, well, you see this one
11:53time, Olivia, I was taking a big bite of this big pizza, but it was still so hot because it
11:59had just
11:59come out of the oven and I burnt the inside of my mouth really badly. You did? How dreadful. Are
12:06you
12:06okay? Oh, yes, I'm fine, thanks. But you see, now I just take little bites of food and little sips
12:13of hot drinks until I know that they've cooled down enough for me to take bigger bites and bigger
12:18sips. Now that's a good idea. Safety first. Oh, yes, Olivia. Always best to be prepared so you know
12:26what to do to stay safe. That's what I say. Oh, me too. Me too. Olivia, would you care for
12:34some
12:35more tea? Oh, well, only if it's cooled down, my boy. Only if it's cooled down. Oh, Olivia, you're a
12:43very
12:43quick learner. You laugh at me. Now pour that tea for me, dear boy. Yes, of course. Oh, that's
12:53lovely. There's a little more. Oh, that's wonderful. Thank you so much. Put it right there. Kids speak,
13:02kids speak, kids speak all day. Kids speak, kids speak, what do they say? Kids speak, kids
13:09speak, listen up now. Kids speak, kids speak, listen up. Wow. Have you ever seen a fire truck
13:18and what does it look like? Well, I'm not sure where I've seen one at all, but I do know
13:24what
13:25it looks like. It looks, it's red, it's got a ladder on the top, it carries a hose and there's
13:32people inside it and it's got a siren. Oh, it's big and it's red and it has nice thick brush
13:39on top.
13:40Who puts out fires? Fire brigade people. Firefighters. They use a hose. They climb up the levers and put
13:51water on it. What sound does a fire truck make?
14:01Kids speak, kids speak, listen up now. Kids speak, kids speak, listen up. Wow.
14:09Hi everybody. While Butterscotch and his friends are coming back from their adventure,
14:13why don't we take a look inside the tree? I wonder what we'll see today.
14:21today it looks as though there's a fire burning in a forest somewhere it looks like quite a big
14:26fire but there are no homes in danger which is good I can't see any roads out there so
14:32I wonder how the firefighters are going to get water to the fire to put it out
14:37oh here's a helicopter with a big bucket underneath it it's flying over this little
14:42lake it's dropping the bucket into the lake to fill it up
14:57it lifts the bucket out of the water and off it goes I wonder what's going to happen next do
15:03you know let's see where it goes here comes a helicopter with a bucket underneath it
15:12oh look at that it just dropped a big load of water on that fire so that's how the firefighters
15:19get water to fires in the forest where there are no roads well done
15:26honeybears corner make things while you play honeybears corner what shall we make today
15:40oh hi everyone welcome to honeybears corner honey bear and I just made this escape plan if there's
15:49ever a fire or other emergency this is how we will get out of our house see we'll follow the
15:57purple lines
15:58that's right and the red arrows show the windows and doors that we can use to get out quickly and
16:04safely and the big X is where I'll meet up with an adult to help me you should talk to
16:11your mom and dad and see if
16:13you can make an escape plan for your home too well that's a great idea honey bear well what are

16:49do we honey bear
16:50no not really so what we'll do is use this sheet could you get that for me sure
16:58and we'll pretend that it's smoke oh I see we can hold up the bed sheet and then practice getting
17:05down low and going
17:07underneath it that's right should we try it yes indeed let's get down low and go go go
17:23well here's a little song that'll keep you safe from harm if you hear the sound from a smoke alarm
17:28listen up now because all you've got to know is to get down low and go go go get down
17:35low and go go go
17:37get down low and go go go get down low and go go go take your whole body from head
17:42to toe and get down low and go go go

17:50Take your whole body from head to toe
17:53And get down low and go, go, go
17:56Whoa!
18:02Whoa!
18:07If you see smoke, that's a warning sign
18:10For you to move quick so that you'll be fine
18:12To help you meet others at a safe place, you know
18:15Get down low and go, go, go

18:43Hi Greg.
18:43Hi Greg.
18:44Oh, hi everyone.
18:45So I gather from Honey Bear's Corner that you all had a fun time at the fire station.
18:50It was great!
18:51We talked with a public safety officer and she showed us how to stay safe during a fire.
18:57Well, it sounds like you had a wonderful trip.
18:59I think you must have had fun too.
19:01We all did.
19:02And just as important, we all learned something too.
19:06Yes, do you remember what we learned today?
19:08What should you do if you see smoke in the house?
19:11Should you get down low and go, go, go?
19:14Or should you hop, skip and jump?
19:17Yes, very good.
19:19You get down low and go, go, go.
19:21That's right.
19:23Well done everyone.
19:24Well, unfortunately everyone, it's almost time for us to go.
19:28But before we do, I want you all to remember that it's really important to stay safe and be prepared.
19:35Well everyone, remember, nearly everything you do presents a chance to learn something new.
19:41So take a look around and explore what you see.
19:45Who knows what to find out?
19:47Yeah, it might lead to a new way of looking at things.
19:51Well everyone, thanks for joining us here at Butterscotch's Playground today.
19:56We'll see you next time.
19:57And remember, you never know what fun you can have when you make the whole wide world your playground.
20:02But it's time to go everyone.
20:04Bye!
20:05Hooray!
20:12You came along with us to somewhere that's new.
20:16And I had so much fun with you.
20:19With Butterscotch, Honey Bear, Frankie and Charles there.
20:23Together our wishes and dreams can come true.
20:26Cause the whole wide world is our playground.
20:30The whole wide world is our playground.
20:34The whole wide world is our playground.
20:38We're glad you came to play.
20:50Hey everyone, have a look who it is.
20:52It's our friend Honey Bear.
20:53It's also...
20:58Say when.
20:59Okay.
21:04When?
21:05Thank you very much.
21:07I was gonna say it's only a little teacup.
21:10It was gonna overflow.
21:12Well, thank you, sir.
21:14Oh, I've caught the giggles.
21:15My goodness.
21:17It's such a lovely day today.
21:19And we can cut.
21:20Alright, music please.
21:22Waiter.
21:23Tea.
21:24For two.
21:26Wonderful to see you again.
21:28Oh, you too.
21:28Should we do the next scene?
21:30I believe that would be a wonderful idea.
21:31But they might want us to do that one again.
21:34Cut.
21:48Have a spot of tea.
21:50Yes, indeed.
21:51Say when.
21:53When?
21:54When?
21:55Yes, yes, when.
21:56Now?
21:56Now.
21:57Oh, you mean enough.
21:58That...
21:59Yes, I...
21:59You said to say when, so I said when, but...
22:02Oh.
22:02Well...
22:03Just put it down, my dear.
22:04Son of a son of a bitch.
22:06I'm thirsty over here.
22:07The whole wide world is our playground.
22:11We're glad you came to play.
22:13No.
22:16No.
22:17That's a wrap.
