A Successful Solicitor’s Career | Nicolas Greenstone
Nicolas Greenstone earned himself a first class education from some of Europe’s finest educational institutes, such as St. Paul’s School, Oxford University and the College of Europe. With such an impressive education under his belt, it does not seem surprising that Nicolas Greenstone went on to enjoy a successful career as a solicitor.
Nicolas Greenstone qualified in 1973 as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Over the next 30 years, Nicolas Greenstone would succeed and impress in a number of roles.
Through his elite education, Nicolas Greenstone became bilingual, teaching English in a French boarding school, which paved the way for his recruitment by the law firm, Berwin Leighton, to open and manage its Paris office. He became a partner in the corporate department of Berwin Leighton in 1978 and remained there until 1982.
Nicolas Greenstone then went on to become a partner in Simon Olswang & Co solicitors (now Olswangs) uwhere he established the corporate practice of a media firm, as it was then. He stayed at Olswangs until 1994.
From 1994 – 2003, Nicolas Greenstone was a member of the management committee for Fladgate Fielder solicitors, as well as the head of the corporate department there. Nicolas Greenstone retired from private practice in 2003 to pursue a new career in corporate finance. Nicolas Greenstone founded Barton Brown Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to carry on corporate finance.
