Otavio Soares Brandão

This site intends to divulge and demonstrate the pianistic innovation of Otavio Henrique Soares Brandão (Pianist / Brazilian composer, disciple of Pierre Schaeffer; Prix Qwartz d´Honneur Pierre Schaeffer/Paris 2007);), his peculiar introduction of Afro Brazilian percussion techniques and his interactions with classical piano technique. Celebrates the emergence of a new piano.
It is also intended, in partnership with the sociologist Ibis Soares Brandão, to animate the understanding of the experimental pedagogy of the piano, as well as the socio-musical foundations of this pedagogy, the new way of presenting Brazilian music. Discuss with the audience our ideas about paradigm shift in music teaching.
