The Blob gets the 5 Minute Drive-In treatment in this fast movie edit of the 1958 Steve McQueen killer-space-goo classic.

Edited by me, not AI. Spoiler warning: this is the whole small-town blob panic compressed into 5 minutes. Mild weird warning: meteor slime, doctor-office digestion, theater panic, diner siege, fire extinguishers, and a gelatin monster with serious ambition.

A meteor crashes near a small town. An old man pokes the goo because 1950s science started with “touch it.” Steve McQueen tries to warn everyone. Adults refuse to listen. The Blob eats through town like haunted dessert topping.

For drive-in movie fans, B-movie freaks, Elvira fans, Creature Features viewers, Joe Bob Briggs followers, MST3K/RiffTrax addicts, classic horror fans, Blobfest/Phoenixville weirdos, Steve McQueen fans, and movie-edit people.

5 Weird Fun Facts:
1. The Blob was released in 1958.
2. Steve McQueen is billed onscreen as “Steven” McQueen.
3. The title song was written by Burt Bacharach and Mack David.
4. The Colonial Theatre scene helped inspire Phoenixville’s Blobfest.
5. The movie helped launch McQueen and Bacharach.

Sorry for the fun facts, but they add context/commentary and help support fair use. Also sorry not everything fits; five minutes cannot contain every scream, theater run, goo attack, cop glare, and McQueen face.
