“I hate myself… but maybe I’m finally learning not to.”

“I HATE MYSELF” by FKHD12 is an emotional melodic rap song about self-hatred, insecurity, overthinking, inner battles, and the silent war people fight against themselves when nobody is watching.

Sometimes the person hurting you the most isn't someone else.

It's the voice inside your own head.

The voice that tells you you're not enough.
The voice that remembers every mistake.
The voice that turns every flaw into a reason to hate yourself.

You smile outside.
You act like you're okay.
You laugh with people.

Then you go home and fight yourself all over again.

This song takes you through that dark place — looking at your reflection and not recognizing the person underneath it, replaying every mistake, comparing yourself to everyone, forgiving everyone except yourself, and becoming your own worst enemy.

But somewhere in that darkness comes a different thought:

Maybe I'm not the villain.
Maybe I'm just fucking tired.
Maybe I deserve some kindness too.

And maybe healing doesn't mean suddenly loving yourself.

Maybe it starts with simply staying.

And for anyone who's slowly learning that making mistakes doesn't make you worthless.

Lyrics

[Intro]

Yeah…

Some days
I don't even recognize myself.

I look in the mirror
And all I see
Is everything I wish I could change.

[Chorus]

I hate myself
Some days
Hate this face
Every flaw I made

Hate the voice
Loud in my head
Screaming loud
“You're not enough”

I smile outside
Rot inside
Nobody sees
This quiet fight

With myself
Every night
Same war
Same mind

[Verse 1]

I catch my reflection
Look away quick
Not the face
It's what's underneath it
......
One day at a time.
