GIRBIG, is the story of a young man impassioned and entranced by the history and roots of American popular music.

On stage a folk guitar, a dance-hall piano, and a double bass call to mind the ambiance of the smoke filled rooms and wood tables and chairs of the Broadway cabarets of old. As if torn from another time, this music has a timeless quality.
In the melodius variety of GIRBIG style you find the down-home country beat of Bob Dylan, the music-hall cadences of Harry Nilsson, as well as the mournful soul searing blues of Tom Waits.
Varying from a delicate meloncoly to a possessed and mischievous swing, the voice of GIRBIG takes us wandering from the muddy river beds of the Mississippi where Tom Sawyer adventured, to the inside-out fantasy world of Alice in Wonderland. Board the train leaving for the year 1926...a destination awaits you, a destination of mysterious circus performers, poker games atop the beams of a sky scraper under construction, and a New York taxi ride which will carry you through the smoggy city towards the stars.
