After studying classical dance in Brussels, Julie Bougard enters the “Arts educational Schools” in London to study contemporary dance for three years.
Back in Brussels, she dances for Johanne Leighton, Thierry Smits, Alain Platel, Jan Lauwers, and Sacha Waltz .
In 1997, she creates her first piece. Will follow eight other creations and many other collaborations.
She lives, since 1999, between Brussels and Berlin, and works with Thomas Lebrun , Chris Kondek, Marc Stephan and the “Compagnie de la Sonnette” (Bruxelles).
