Gabriele Possenti, guitarist, composer and cello player, Italia Mcilroy Guitars endorser.

Studies: both Perugia and Pesaro Conservatoires, graduated in 1994. Specialised in acoustic guitar at the Accademia Musicale Lizard, Fiesole (FI), graduated in 2005 with top grades and commendation.

In 2004, he won first prize at the New Sounds of Acoustic Music competition at the 7th Acoustic Guitar International Meeting in Sarzana (SP). In 2008 and 2010 he was invited to open both 6th and 8th edition of the Montelago Celtic Festival, a widely known event which has the official support of the Irish Embassy in Italy, where he shared the stage with bands of international fame, Birkin Tree, Grada and Kila among others.

He has also worked as a performing musician with several theatre companies, including, lately, a collaboration with Paola Gassman and Ugo Pagliai.

He has been managing the acoustic guitar stage at Montelago Celtic Festival since 2008. As a McIlroy Italia endorser, he also took part in the Open Strings Festival in Osnabruck, Germany, in 2006 and 2007.

As tutor, musician and composer, he has worked with many institutions and music schools, including:
Solisti di Roma, Instituzione Sinfonica Abbruzzese, Solisti Aquilani, Orchestra Sinfonica Umbra, Symphonia Perusina, RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana (the Italian Broadcasting Company), Festival delle Nazioni di Musica da Camera (The Nations’ Chamber Music Festival), Gioventu’ Musicale Italiana (Italian Musical Youth), ESA Studio, Korg Italy, OGAM.

He is currently recording his CD Wood of Guitar, supported by the ethnic music group OGAM, and produced by the record label Arte Nomade. He teaches acoustic and classical guitar at :
Amici della Chitarra, Fabriano; Arts Vicum, Fossato di Vico; Opus One, Castelbellino.
