Hailing from the Northwest Indiana sector of the Rust Belt of the United States on planet Earth, The Next Two Bands: mix genres and styles to comprise a retro-futurist portrayal of sex and scifi. Robots, post-apocalyptic environments, space adventures, cloning, post-scarcity societies, and even Bokononism are frequently visited topics.
Cut scene to February of 2012, a formerly cold month that has been gradually warmed by carbon emissions despite warnings from various scientists, where after working on various audio, video, and single-serving music projects together, Brandon and Chris decided to focus their creative talents on a point of singularity: a band that shall surpass the capabilities of either of their human selves.
Following various talks between the two over a fifteen minute period, Larry was nominated to replace the notion of a hypothetical and potential robot drummer. The request was gladly accepted, and this trio ventured for a fourth member, Mikhail, to round off a science fiction Quadrilogy superior to that of Alien.
Recently having released their demo entitled “This Is Just a Test”, The Next Two Bands: is looking forward to debuting their first album “Men and the Robots Who Love Them”, which contains tracks covering concepts ranging from Rosie Jetson and HAL 9000 to Isaac Asimov’s Frankenstein Complex and potential future human-robot relations issues.
