Original Signal is a new breed of artist development company. While we provide many of the services of a typical record label — marketing (both online and offline), A&R, publicity, creative design, etc — we offer a modern outlook; an innovative and dynamic approach to developing artists in a new world. Our staff members have worked with artists as diverse as The White Stripes, Radiohead, Beck, Beastie Boys, Sigur Ros, Linkin Park, Tom Petty, KRS-ONE, The Walkmen, M. Ward, Black Eyed Peas, Cursive and Margot and The Nuclear So & Sos. We've got a wealth of experience having worked at companies like V2 Records, Warner Brothers Records, RED INK, Capitol Records, Nasty Little Man, Girlie Action. Our company was founded by young entrepreneurs who have had previous experience starting small companies and growing them into larger, more successful companies. We function independently of the major label system while benefiting from our close association with it. We can react quickly. We have a lean but extremely specialized staff. Most importantly, we have the freedom to only work on the projects we love. Despite our wealth of experience, nobody here is older than 33. We're not confused by technology. We're not intimidated by it either. We're all about the music, and we're passionate about finding ways of utilizing new technologies to spread the word. We're not looking to offer anybody a boilerplate record deal. We believe in a shared responsibility. If we're truly partners, we've both got a lot of work to do — and can share equally in the profits. EPIC: One of the great advantages to signing with us is that we are able to work with Epic, but don't have to navigate the corporate waters. We aren't bound by any rules. Utilizing our unique relationship with them, we can offer a compelling strategy that will encompass multiple phases of development. We have distribution through RED, SonyBMG Sales Enterprise and InGrooves (digital distribution). Music Nation is home to the globe's leading online music community.
