In 2006, the British artist Mark Brogan set up a small call centre in Belgrade, Serbia to process outsourced European telephone market survey work, the workforce being local English speaking Serbians.

As part of recruiting new workers, Brogan develops a participatory video practice which gives job applicants insights through simulated experiences of this form of work. The resulting video process is methodically woven into the everyday fabric of his and the workers' experiences, in turn resulting in a socially engaged art form founded on a real business.

The films are of genuine job interviews. The job applicants who participated in the films gave their permission to be filmed.
