Mike passion, what drives him day in and day out, is helping emerging artists find their voice...literally and figuratively. Consequently, he spends most of his production and engineering time developing emerging artists.

Graduating from Berklee College of Music ('97) with a BA in Music Production and Engineering, Mike joined the staff at Buchanan Recording Complex and quickly began engineering and producing regional and national, rock, pop, alternative rock, and hip/hop artists. Mike has recorded, produced, and mixed for a number of well known Billboard artists. Mike has worked with: Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Social Distortion, Paramore, Three days Grace, Switchfoot, Saves The Day, The Ready Set, A Day To Remember, Garbage, Pussycat Dolls, Velvet Revolver, Bone Thugs and Harmony, The Ramones, and many more national and regional artists.

Focusing on each artist, making himself available when they need him, has not only increased the number of artists Lava Room Recording has developed, it has also allowed for the highest quality production and engineering.

One artist at a time, Mike provides the facility and the guidance for each and every artist he's privileged to work with. The end result can be exciting, leading to a career in the music business as a recording artist or group!
