Roger Ebert, the world's most famous movie critic recently passed away at the age of 70. Here are 7 uncommon facts about him.

Number 7 – In 2006, his artery ruptured during surgery. He made it clear he wasn't afraid of dying by writing “I have already been declared dead. It wasn’t so bad.”

Number 6- When Ebert was in high school, he edited the school paper and created his own science fiction fan magazine.

Number 5- When he joined the Chicago Sun-Times in 1966, he originally aspired to be a journalist. He became a movie critic by chance when he replaced Eleanor Keen, who had decided to retire.
