Often when we think about the story of Jesus Christ, we tend to view the participants in Jesus' death as being the "bad guys". Judas, the Jewish religious leaders, as well as the Romans, are all demonized for the role they played in condemning Jesus to death and for facilitating his torture and crucifixion. Indeed, this is especially so in films such as "The Passion of the Christ", and other movies, that depict the events of Jesus' life and death.
However, if we take the story of Jesus Christ as being true, then I contend those people who were responsible for Jesus' death were actually doing Jesus a great service, and it is Jesus who should be condemned for weaving a web of coercion, manipulation, and the scapegoating of his death onto others, which not only resulted in the suicide of his friend, but many centuries of racism and the untold suffering and death of countless millions of innocent men, women, and children.
